Salt Painting at Fort Washington Library

Salt painting is an easy, engaging process-art activity where, after drawing a design with liquid glue on heavy paper or cardstock, salt is sprinkled over it. Once dried, watercolors or food coloring are touched to the salt, causing the paint to spread along the lines via capillary action.
