Word Up Community Bookshop’s new virtual after-school program for elementary school students open to kids in 1st and 2nd grade who are interested in literature, visual arts, movement, music and more.The kids will enjoy visits from artists, writers, and musicians from all over the world! Each participant will receive free copies of the three of our featured books (TBD).
The program is facilitated by two teaching artists, Reza Salazar and Robby Kim, who are longtime members of the Word Up community.
Each participant will receive free copies of the following books:
– Fry Bread: A Native American Family Story by Kevin Noble Maillard
– Day You Begin by Jacqueline Woodson
– Dragons Love Tacos by Adam Rubin
