Dive into the vibrant world of gouache painting with Adaley Munoz in an hour-long exploration of this versatile medium. Two choirs – Young People’s Chorus of New York City and the Kaitaia Community Voices from rural New Zealand – live oceans apart, but find they are connected by music as they navigate personal challenges and the pressure of competition, and find their lives forever changed. Choir Games is a deeply moving, often hilarious, exploration of the transformative power of song.
After the two 45-minute episodes (90 minutes total) there will be a talk back with the filmmakers.
This program is supported by the United Palace of Cultural Arts, in part, by public funds from the New York City Department of Cultural Affairs in partnership with the City Council.
