DESCRIPTION:We’re thrilled to be hosting the extraordinary cellist @mairidp in a presentation of her one-woman show\, which intersperses performances with descriptions of her extraordinary life as a veteran of 23 Broadway shows. \nMairi Dorman-Phaneuf has established a busy career in New York City as a solo\, chamber\, Broadway\, and recording artist. Since 2003 she has held chairs in twenty-three Broadway shows\, including The Bridges of Madison County\, A Little Night Music\, Sunday in the Park with George\, and Parade. Off-Broadway credits include the premiere productions of Jason Robert Brown’s The Last Five Years (Chicago 2001\, NYC 2002). Her debut solo album “Music of Broadway for Cello and Piano\,” released in September 2021 on Craft Recordings/Concord Theatricals\, has been described as “sublime” by BroadwayWorld. Following her sold-out debut at Birdland Jazz Club in 2018 she continues to present headlining shows featuring Broadway’s greatest stars. DESCRIPTION:The Opera Cowgirls are an alt-country band where grand opera meets the grand ole opry.  \nFounded by Caitlin McKechney (mezzo-soprano/guitar/banjolele) after she was asked to open for a rock show at a local bar\, the group also includes Sarah Beckham-Turner (soprano/cello)\, Maria Maxfield (soprano/egg shaker/tambourine)\, Jessica Sandidge (soprano/mandolin/rival egg shaker/tambourine) and Mila Henry (soprano sometimes/mini-keyboards/percussion). \nBy blending the greatest operatic hits with some country flavor\, the Cowgirls have proven that they can truly cover Puccini to Parton. The Cowgirls have performed at venues ranging from dive bars to cabaret halls and beach bandshells to floating ferries\, including the New York-based BAM Lepercq Space\, Green Room 42\, LIC Bar\, Parkside Lounge\, Pete’s Candy Store\, Le Poisson Rouge and The Slipper Room\, and regionally at Avaloch Farm Music Institute (NH)\, Cedar Rapids Opera Theatre (IA)\, Delaware Valley Opera (NY)\, Hopewell Valley Vineyards (NJ)\, Magic City Opera (FL)\, Mr. Smalls Funhouse (PA)\, NightBlue Theater (IL)\, Opera North (NH)\, Painted Sky Opera (OK)\, Pensacola Opera (FL)\, Sandhills Repertory Theatre (NC)\, San Francisco Ballet (CA)\, St. Pete Opera (FL) and West Texas A&M University (TX). Through it all\, her virtuosic and soulful ability to communicate draws in the audience. Kibbey has appeared as soloist with the Badisch Staatskapelle Karlsruhe\, State Orchestra of Brazil (Pelotas)\, The Juilliard Symphony\, the Israel Youth Philharmonic\, and the orchestras of Orlando\, Modesto\, Illinois\, Alabama\, Richmond\, Skaneateles Festival\, Princeton\, and the Madison and San José Chamber Orchestras\, Metropolis Ensemble\, among others. She has been featured as soloist in North America’s top halls – from Carnegie Hall to the Met Opera Main Stage\, to Koerner Hall\, the Ordway\, the 92nd Street Y\, to the Gardner Museum\, the Phillips Collection\, the Menil Collection and beyond.
