Chris Whittaker–Fordham Law J.D. candidate\, co-leader of Fordham’s Climate Law Equity & Sustainability Initiative\, and Washington Heights neighbor–presents an introduction to de-growth theory that invites everyone to critically examine the assumptions that underlie our economic life\, introducing the concepts of planetary boundaries\, the myth of decoupling growth from extraction\, how debt drives environmental degradation\, and how public money and public banking could provide a path to a post-growth society.
