Jazz WaHi is excited to present a masterclass with Jazz Vocalist, Jane Irving. In this workshop, Jane will work with 3 or 4 vocalists and guide them through her method of storytelling. Mark Kross will be on hand as the accompanist so Jane can work directly with the singers. We can accept up to 15 vocalists but only 3 or 4 will work directly with Jane. FREE! Space is limited. Melting Pot Jazz from Jazz Wahi is an annual series of five free, family-friendly concerts in June celebrating immigrants’ influence on American jazz. Concerts take place on the lawn at St. Frances Cabrini Shrine in Washington Heights, or indoors if it rains.
