    Inwood Art Works presents HOWL! — Allen Ginsberg at 100. Composer/Reader Jerome Kitzke will honor the American poet Allen Ginsberg in his Centennial Year by eading his seminal poems Howl and Footnote to Howl as well as reading other Ginsberg poems Kitzke set to music over the last 38 years, including Hum Bom!, Sunflower Sutra, and Song. Each of those readings will be followed by audio recordings of the compositions Kitzke made.

    Inwood Art Works presents Stories Between Keys: A Community Concert featuring Poetry and Piano. Richard Strauss’s music played on piano, underscoring the recitation of Lord Tennyson’s poem, Enoch Arden. Performed by Christopher Douglaston Ryan and Victoria Schwartzman. Second Act: Chopin Ballade no.1 for piano solo, followed by Dmitri Shostakovich’s Aphorismsplayed on piano, juxtaposed with short poems written by Daniil Kharms.
