Recognized for her “beautiful, warm voice with a secure and soft top and a powerful low register” (Basler Landschaftszeitung, Switzerland), some of Carla López-Speziale's most notable roles are Carmen, Dalila, Azucena, Isabella, and Baba the Turk. Carla is winner of competitions such as the Vincenzo Bellini in Italy, the Metropolitan Opera National Council Auditions in New York and the Carlo Morelli competition in her native Mexico, among others.
