Inwood Hill Park Family Camping: We camp to create lasting memories, connect with the natural world, and bond with our families. The Urban Park Rangers celebrate the tradition of camping and we look forward to welcoming your family. Families are chosen by lottery. Registration required; begins on 5/18/2026 and ends on 5/21/2026.
Inwood Hill Park: Planting the Native Garden. Join Urban Park Rangers as we design and plant our Lenape teaching garden in its new location. Learn about the 4 crops that the Lenape people planted for the summer and help us get them into the ground.
Join the Urban Park Rangers on a tour inside the iconic Highbridge Water Tower to learn about the history of New York City's water supply and enjoy the panoramic views from the top of the 200 foot tower. Arrive between 1:00 p.m. and 2:45 p.m, to gain admittance. Program will be held at the base of the water tower behind the Highbridge Recreation Center and Pool.
