The fourth and final concert of Antonio Galera’s residency at the Hispanic Society, Cuadros de una Exposición, will take place in the Main Court of the Museum. The program continues a major theme of Antonio’s residency, which has featured both classical and contemporary music. This culminating event will feature works by Granados and Mussorgsky, as well as the world premiere of two solo piano pieces by Francisco Coll, commissioned by the Hispanic Society and Antonio Galera. The acclaimed Valencian composer has created two contrasting pieces inspired by Goya and Zurbarán, both represented in the museum’s collection.

Uptown Arts and Culture Pop Up Series: Art in Motion
Join our first Uptown Arts and Culture Pop Up of the year at the YM & YWHA of Washington Heights and Inwood. Thanks to generous grant support from our partners, this event is free for all ages!
From 2:00-4:00pm. join us for a day of creativity and hands-on fun as families come together to build and play with a the cardboard car ramp!
Using imaginative designs and lots and lots of cardboard, we’ll transform simple materials into an exciting masterpiece.
Each family will get to design and construct their own unique cardboard car and put it to the test on our ramp.

At 4:00 pm, join Yaala Ballin and her band as they present some of their favorite gems of the Great American Songbook. They will be presenting and sharing about songs that tell stories of love, friendship and life.
Snacks throughout the program will be available from Tsion Cafe, a Harlem-based vegan and kosher restaurant celebrating Pan-African love, Black Israeli pride and a passion for delicious vegan food backed by a full bar with international beers and wines. Tsion Cafe is a place where the flavors of Ethiopia, Israel and New York are beautifully harmonized.

Cabrini Shrine – Gregorian Chant: The Canonization Concert
The Majesta Chanters present a re-creation of the chant and other music used at St. Frances Cabrini’s canonization in 1946. This candlelight concert is an annual favorite!
This candlelight concert of the music from Mother Cabrini’s canonization ceremony includes Ambrosian and Gregorian chant, along with choral pieces composed especially for the occasion by the director of music for the Vatican and the Sistine Chapel Choir, Monsignor Lorenzo Perosi.

Residents of Castle Village display their hand-made craftwork and offer it for sale, including hats, handbags, jewelry, ceramics, greeting cards and art.
