PLAYDATE! FREE Day with NY State Assemblywoman Catalina Cruz at Sugar Hill Children’s Museum

Join us for a FREE fun-filled family day (10am-5pm) of art-making and interactive performances.

10:00am – 11:30am – Art-making in the Living Room

11:30am – 12:30pm – Artist Talk with Artist-in-Residence Damien Davis

1:00pm – 2:00pm – Story Hour

2:00pm – 3:00pm – Double Dutch Dreamz – Beginners and all skill levels welcome to learn the ropes and rhymes that move the crowd.

3:30pm – 4:30pm – Reading of Yuyi Morales’ acclaimed book “Dreamers” with NY State Assemblywoman Catalina Cruz, the third DREAMer to be elected to political office in the United States and first in New York State. A Question and answer session follows the reading.

Nights at Sugar Hill Children’s Museum

Bring the family for an evening of music, art-making workshops and more. This is the final edition of Nights at Sugar Hill this year and will feature special performances from Butter & Friends featuring Slam Allen and Grammy Award Winning Artist Wayne Escoffery, who is presented in conjunction with neighborhood restaurant Tsion Cafe.

Everyone who attends will receive coupons for discounted food and/or drink from Tsion Cafe who will host a post-event Jazz Jam session at the restaurant at 763 St. Nicholas Avenue.
