Penny Jo’s: Sunday Baroque with Silentwoods & Pandora Consort

Join us for Sunday Baroque at Penny Jo’s, featuring Pandora Consort and Silentwoods Collective.
Beginning at 5:00 PM is Silentwoods Collective’s program “South of Rome” sharing virtuosic works for cello composed by innovators of the violoncello from Southern Italy – Francesco Supriano, Rocco Greco, Gaetano Francone, Giulio de Ruvo, and Alessandro Scarlatti. Then, Boston-Based vocal ensemble ‘The Pandora Consort’ will perform selections from their recently premiered folk opera, “The Fire within Her”, as well as enthralling medieval works by polymath Hildegard von Bingen. Award winning Flutist / Composer Yael Acher “KAT” Modiano will perform masterpieces by J.S. Bach, Debussy, and contemporary works by Acher-Modiano. The Audiences will also be invited to join in on “Amazing Grace” and other known soulful songs. All are welcome to immerse in the Shrine’s gracious acoustics and atmosphere.
