2022 UPTOWN ARTS STROLL POSTER CONTEST –
2022 THEME: “Creativity takes courage.” – Henri Matisse
$1,250 Grand Prize 1st place winner

 

Since 2003, the Uptown Arts Stroll has grown from a one-day event to a month-long celebration offering a wide variety of arts and cultural events north of West 135th Street. The Northern Manhattan Arts Alliance (NoMAA) in collaboration with local artists, businesses, community leaders and institutions, has produced the Uptown Arts Stroll since 2008.

Each year the Uptown Arts Stroll will feature open studios, art exhibitions, concerts, literary events, and performances during the month of June, throughout Northern Manhattan from West 135th Street to West 220th Street.

Studio178 Call for Applications

Studio178 is a rotating 12-month residency program for recent MFA graduates, immigrant artists, late career artists, and artists in financial need. Studio178 residents have 24/7 use of a private 150 square foot studio work space with a sink, storage and WiFi (no living). Cost is $178/month and the residency runs from April through March each year. Residents participate fully as members of the Cornerstone Studios community. At the end of each residency, artists are asked to present their work publicly, in-person or virtually. Applicants must submit proof of COVID-19 vaccination to qualify.

Application deadline is midnight on Monday, February 28, 2022. 

The 2022-23 residency begins April 1, 2022. Email info@cornerstonestudios.nyc with questions and/or to arrange an in-person tour of the space (proof of vaccination and masks required).
