Sugar Hill: Toddler Time with Evan V

Jumping Jams events with Evan V introduces children to diverse rhythms and features fun lyrics that both kids and parents can sing along with. Classes encourage movement and interactive stories to encourage kids to use their imagination! There will also be tambourines, shakers, dance ribbons, and more to help facilitate learning, interactive movement, and dancing!

WaHi-Inwood Task Force on Noise: “Know Noise”

“Know Noise:” a community event is coming to Haven Plaza on Sunday, June 16th. It has been two years in the making thanks to WaHi-Inwood Task Force on Noise
At the event, there will be a launch of a community sign-up for a pilot study in Washington Heights and Inwood on the impact of noise on sleep health. Study participants will receive compensation.
Come on out, encourage your neighbors to attend. Let’s make this study a success so that more funding can be received to expand.

HVG Centennial Concert Extravaganza!

For the final concert of PAG’s spring 2024 season, we’re celebrating the centennial of our beloved home, Hudson View Gardens. The program on Sunday, June 23 at 5 pm in The Lounge features classical and jazz selections from the 1920s, right around the time that HVG was built!

Nearly a dozen performers will take the stage at The Lounge for this special concert. The program features a special arrangement of George Gershwin’s Rhapsody in Blue played by HVG resident pianists Evelyne Luest, David Kalhaus and Sasha Papernick. Also: the world premiere of a composition by Andy Didorenko written especially for the occasion and a 1924 work by Gabriel Faure played by cellist Angela Lee. The extraordinary jazz musicians, HVG residents Andrea Wood (vocals) and Ethan O’Reilly (bass) perform Tea for TwoThe Man I Love and other 1920s popular favorites.

A festive reception follows the concert.
