Melting Pot Jazz from Jazz Wahi is an annual series of five free, family-friendly concerts in June celebrating immigrants’ influence on American jazz. Concerts take place on the lawn at St. Frances Cabrini Shrine in Washington Heights, or indoors if it rains.
We believe great music should be accessible to everyone, which is why we have no cover—ever. Come hang with us Monday thru Saturday for the best live sets in the Heights.
The evening, themed "Rooted in Dignity," will celebrate the resilience of immigrants across New York City's diverse communities, honor those who champion immigrant rights, and reaffirm CIS-NYC's commitment to fostering justice, dignity, and respect for all.
