Richard Strauss’s music played on piano, underscoring the recitation of Lord Tennyson’s poem, Enoch Arden. Performed by Christopher Douglaston Ryan and Victoria Schwartzman. Second Act: Chopin Ballade no.1 for piano solo, followed by Dmitri Shostakovich’s Aphorismsplayed on piano, juxtaposed with short poems written by Daniil Kharms.
