These are some of the people at the heart of Still Alive—friends in Gaza whose lives have become closely connected with people in Inwood. The exhibition brings their photographs into the gallery at a scale we rarely give to the images people share in everyday life. Made by them or with their participation, the portraits show people as they have chosen to be seen.
