"The Stuff"(1985) Genre filmmaker Larry Cohen was born in Washington Heights in 1941, and later relocated to nearby Riverdale. The Stuff is Cohen's satirical sci-fi-horror-comedy about an organic dessert sensation, sold after it bubbles up from the ground, and later causes havok. We are pairing The Stuff with the short subject "The Haunted Mouth," for an entire night of dental and dessert horror.

Dog Portraits By Bruce Katz The standard session lasts between 1/2 hour to an hour – we try to keep if fun and stress free for the dog, taking frequent breaks as needed to keep the dog engaged and comfortable on set. Please bring high value treats, along with a favorite toy (if applicable). We expect that the dog can sit and stay for a least a short period of time.

Richard Strauss’s music played on piano, underscoring the recitation of Lord Tennyson’s poem, Enoch Arden. Performed by Christopher Douglaston Ryan and Victoria Schwartzman. Second Act: Chopin Ballade no.1 for piano solo, followed by Dmitri Shostakovich’s Aphorismsplayed on piano, juxtaposed with short poems written by Daniil Kharms. Dust Devil is equal parts sexy, gory and metaphysical, with themes exploring the region's fraught racial politics of the time. A surreal, violent horror-western from South Africa about a murderous demonic shapeshifter, hunting lonely travelers in the desert. We’ll be presenting the "final cut," approved by the director.
Nick Grinder is a trombonist and composer who has been active in New York City for over a decade, playing and recording with artists ranging from Tony Bennet and Lady Gaga to the big bands of Arturo O’Farrill and Darcy James Argue, and in the pits of over thirty Broadway shows. Nick is using Inwood Art Works as a testing ground for his new compositions, and is joined by Martha Kato (piano), Evan Gregor (bass) and John Sturino (drums).
