Learn the basics of linoleum block printmaking, where you will design, carve, ink, and print your original images. We’ll explore tools, safety, and basic techniques. No prior experience is required- just curiosity and a willingness to get your hands inky.

Join Sylvestre Akaapo for an interactive, all-levels workshop rooted in traditional West African movement and live drumming. Participants will explore rhythm, grounding, and expressive movement while learning about the cultural context of the dance and the role of the drum as a unifying force. The Lab offers a joyful, embodied experience that fosters connection between body, rhythm, culture, and community.

Shade explores the intersections of light and shadow—literal, social, and emotional. In every culture and community, shade carries layered meanings: it can offer refuge or concealment, protection or defiance, acceptance, or rejection.
From throwing shade to sheltering in shade, from colorism in race to color range in art, shade speaks to power, presence, and the unseen forces that shape how we move through the world.
How does shade define visibility? How do we navigate the tension between exposure and cover, clarity and ambiguity, belonging and otherness?

Join Parijata Performance Projects for a work-in-progress showing of sections of O Ghostly Ancestor, our participatory performance / community ritual, blending experimental theater; contemporary, Indian classical, and circle dance; and martial art. We honor the gifts of our ancestors, release what we no longer need, and deepen our connection with Earth and community. Our performance will include the opportunity to honor your ancestors and releasing what you no longer need, as well as participatory circle dance.
