Prelude Opera presents a new opera composed by Laura Jobin-Acosta and Joanie Brittingham. The Brementown Musicians is from an old German fairy tale collected by the Grimm Brothers, Jacob and Wilhelm, in 1819 and given the title Die Bremer Stadtmusikanten. In our version, four animals escape their cruel owners and band together to form a musical quartet heading to Bremen, a town known for music. On the way they discover a house with treasures inside but must outwit the villanous robber.
