Bring the whole family to Fort Tryon Park for a free outdoor performance of PuppetMobile’s Pinocchio and Geppetto’s Big Apple Adventure!
In this fresh take on the classic fairytale, written by Julia Darden and directed by Bruce Cannon, Geppetto is a New York City kid with a talent for invention. His greatest creation is Pinocchio—a robot friend who joins him on an adventure through some of New York City’s most beloved destinations. Along the way, the pair encounter plenty of unexpected twists, turns, and hijinks!
The production features beautifully handcrafted marionettes created by Swedish Cottage Marionette Theatre puppet builder Kevin White, with set design by Zlata Godunova and costume design by Charlie DelRisco. Original songs written and orchestrated by Daryl Kojak bring the marionettes’ adventure to life.

This music documentary explores and reclaims the legacy of the six-week 1969 Harlem Cultural Festival. It features unpublished footage of performances by Nina Simone, B.B. King, Sly and the Family Stone, Stevie Wonder, and Gladys Knight & the Pips at Mount Morris Park (now Marcus Garvey Park).
