Harlem’s Son: A Poetry & Performance Workshop inspired by Langston Hughes
This interactive poetry workshop takes place in Jamel Robinson’s solo exhibition, A Love Worth Fighting For, and draws a line between the artist’s work and the legacy of Langston Hughes.
Jamel invites the audience to reflect on lineage, language, and presence—to respond to the art works on display and voices that came before. Through the words of Langston’s poem “I Too” and the artist’s guidance, participants are encouraged to create their own poetry and take their place among those voices.
