Join the Urban Park Rangers for a monthly hike exploring Inwood Hill Park. The hike will begin at the Inwood Hill Nature Center. This month’s hike will be highlighting re-introduced species in Inwood Hill Park.
Inwood Hill Park: Uptown Kid Lit. A one-day children's literature festival that showcases the fun and possibilities of literature for kids and their adults! Since 2019, Meet your favorite and soon-to-be-favorite authors and illustrators, get introduced to local youth programs, pick up books and school supplies, and hang out with your neighbors in the park.
Hispanic Heritage Month: Latin Music Roots in Nature
Join the Urban Park Rangers in Inwood Hill Park to discuss the natural roots of instruments used in Spanish and Latin American Music. Learn about some of the ways nature is used to craft instruments such as strings, woodwinds and percussion. Instruments featured will be flamenco guitar from Spain, congas, claves and more.
