Jazz WaHi is excited to present a masterclass with Jazz Vocalist, Jane Irving. In this workshop, Jane will work with 3 or 4 vocalists and guide them through her method of storytelling through song.

The workshop will focus on:
• Phrasing
• Breath support
• Authenticity
• Letting the lyrics be your guide
• How to use what you have
• Techniques to offer choices
• Singing around the melody
• Stage craft / working with your accompanist

Mark Kross will be on hand as the accompanist so Jane can work directly with the singers. We can accept up to 15 vocalists but only 3 or 4 will work directly with Jane. If you’re interested in singing, please indicate this when you contact Jazz WaHi
