We are pleased to announce that Friends of Inwood Hill Park has been awarded a grant from the NYC Green Fund! This award will fund more of our work around the areas affected by the November 2024 wildfires. In addition to the planting and stewardship work already underway, this grant will go to fund a series of bilingual nature hikes happening monthly from June to September. These hikes aim to teach some of our youngest Friends about fire safety in forests, the growing field of fire ecology, and climate change resiliency. We look forward to seeing you in the forest!

Estamos encantados de anunciar que Friends of Inwood Hill Park ha recibido una subvención del NYC Green Fund! Esta subvención financiará más de nuestro trabajo en las áreas afectadas por los incendios forestales de noviembre de 2024. Además del trabajo de plantación y cuidado del bosque ya en marcha, esta subvención se destinará a financiar una serie de caminatas bilingües por la naturaleza que se realizan mensualmente de junio a septiembre.
