Hispanic Society: Artist Talk & Workshop with Jana Leo

Join West Harlem-based artist Jana Leo for an artmaking workshop and artist talk at the Hispanic Society Museum & Library based on her exhibition now on view at the Espacio de Culturas at NYU: Mom is Dead, But We Are Going to Heal Her.

Jana will share with participants her artistic process aimed at processing trauma and everyday current events. The workshop includes both drawing and writing.

Inwood Hill Park: 30th Annual Autumn Starfest

Join us for the 30th Annual Autumn Starfest, hosted by the Amateur Astronomers Association (AAA), on Saturday, November 1, 2025, from 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM at Pat’s Lawn at Inwood Hill Park!
This free, family-friendly event invites New Yorkers of all ages to celebrate three decades of urban stargazing. Enjoy telescope views of star clusters, double stars, and Saturn; hear expert talks on astronomy, and engage in interactive activities designed for all skill levels.
The first 150 attendees will receive free gift bags! Autumn Starfest is a NYC tradition you won’t want to miss. Come and be part of this stellar celebration of astronomy in the heart of the city!
