400 Nemo’s are missing in the United Palace – help find them before the movie starts! One Nemo finder will win a pair of tickets to the New York Aquarium and other Coney Island goodies.

This 2003 Pixar classic follows the story of a timid clownfish who sets out on a rescue mission for his son after he’s captured in the Great Barrier Reef and taken to Sydney. Voiced by Albert Brooks and Ellen DeGeneres. Directed by Andrew Stanton and Lee Unkrich. Written by Andrew Stanton, Bob Peterson, and David Reynolds. The movie is 1 hour and 40 minutes, Rated G, and will be screened on DCP.

Finding Nemo continues the Movies at the Palace Season of Friendship. We chose that theme after asking ourselves what we need most to get through 2024. Our supporters and fans helped us select the movies in the series, including:

  • Finding Nemo (2003): July 28
  • Thelma & Louise (1991): Date TBD
  • The Breakfast Club (1985): Date TBD
  • Close Encounters of the Third Kind (1977): Date TBD
  • Little Women (2019): Date TBD

Please note: The Season of Friendship is a different series than Movies at the Palace with Lin-Manuel Miranda, who is not scheduled to be at this screening.

HVG Performing Arts Group: Weiss Kaplan Stumpf Trio

Hudson View Garden’s Performing Arts Group presents the internationally acclaimed Weiss Kaplan Stumpf Trio on Saturday, January 11 at 7:30 pm at The Lounge (note: special day and time!). The program features timeless music for violin, cello, and piano by Robert Schumann and Charles Ives. Both composers were ahead of their time: Shumann was one of the most important composers of the Romantic era with his graceful melodies and intense harmonies, and Ives, born 150 years ago, earned his renegade reputation by breaking new ground as he broke the rules in his compositions.

Combining the talents of three award-winning soloists, the Weiss Kaplan Stumpf Trio – pianist Yael Weiss, violinist Mark Kaplan and cellist Peter Stumpf – brings to each performance its distinctive fusion of authority and experience, energy, and passion. Hailed as “three strong voices, locked in sequence” (The New York Times) the trio has earned widespread critical acclaim for performances around the world, from the Kennedy Center to Wigmore Hall, and has been called “absolute magic” by Gramophone Magazine.
