Inwood Hill Park: 30th Annual Autumn Starfest

Join us for the 30th Annual Autumn Starfest, hosted by the Amateur Astronomers Association (AAA), on Saturday, November 1, 2025, from 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM at Pat’s Lawn at Inwood Hill Park!
This free, family-friendly event invites New Yorkers of all ages to celebrate three decades of urban stargazing. Enjoy telescope views of star clusters, double stars, and Saturn; hear expert talks on astronomy, and engage in interactive activities designed for all skill levels.
The first 150 attendees will receive free gift bags! Autumn Starfest is a NYC tradition you won’t want to miss. Come and be part of this stellar celebration of astronomy in the heart of the city!
Location details: Pat’s Lawn at Inwood Hill Park (enter at W 218 Street and Indian Road)

Step back in time and experience the sights and sounds of the Revolutionary War at the historic Commemoration of the Battle of Fort Washington! Held at Café Lawn in Fort Tryon Park, this event brings history to life with a dramatic live battle reenactment, 18th-century demonstrations, and hands-on activities for all ages.

What to Expect:

Live reenactment of the Battle of Fort Washington with British and American troops

Blacksmith demonstrations showcasing traditional craftsmanship

Live 18th-century music to set the scene

Guided battlefield tours with reenactors in full costume

On its 20th anniversary year, Latin American Cultural Week is proud to present flutist/composer Yael “Kat” Acher and guitarist Baran Guzelsoy.
The duo takes the audience on a colorful journey through classical and contemporary South American masterpieces by Astor Piazzolla, Heitor Villa-Lobos, Leo Brouwer, Jose White, Dilermando Reis, Barrios Mangore, and Jorge Morel, along with a premiere of a work by Yael.   The concert is dedicated to Peace, Human
Rights and Animal Rights.
