Cabrini Shrine: Music of Hope Concert Series – Maria Brea & Friends

The kickoff concert for the Shrine’s year-long Music of Hope series brings you songs of Puccini, Eduardo Sánchez de Fuentes, Brahms, Mozart, Moses Hogan, Verdi and more.
Noted Venezuelan soprano Maria Brea is joined by guest artists Elizabeth Sinčák, Victoria Guzman, Scarlett Henderson, and Vanessa Niu. Tickets are available in advance or at the door. $20 adults, $10 students and seniors.

WHCO at Morris-Jumel at Celebrate Women’s History Month

We are honored to be a part of the Morris-Jumel Mansion‘s Women’s History Month Kick-off celebration on Saturday 3/1 along with artist Andrea Arroyo, author Margaret Oppenheimer, and poet Lisa “Rubi G” Ventura!

WHCO musicians flutist Anna Urrey, violinist Ashley Windle, violist Hannah Burnett, and cellist Valeriya Sholokhova, will perform a beautiful program for flute and string trio from 1:30-2pm in the Octagon Room.

Sunday, March 16th, 2025 | 4 to 6pm

Skylark takes to the skies exploring music inspired by the wonder of flight. The centerpiece is Benedict Sheehan’s new commission Songbird Antiphons, featuring poetry by Charles Anthony Silvestri and Talia Sheehan, which celebrates American songbirds while highlighting threats to their habitats. The program features Eric Whitacre’s thrilling Leonardo Dreams of His Flying Machine alongside works by Caroline Shaw, Abbie Betinis, Ravel, Vaughan Williams, and Stanford.
