Fallas y Danzas Españolas with Sylvan Winds
The Sylvan Winds return to the Hispanic Society with flamenco dancer Eva Conti for an exciting program celebrating the 150th Anniversary of Manuel de Falla’s birth featuring music from El Amor Brujo and the Three-Cornered Hat. In addition, the program will feature performances of works by Albeniz, Granados, and Turina.

Beginning at 5:00 PM is Silentwoods Collective’s program “South of Rome” sharing virtuosic works for cello composed by innovators of the violoncello from Southern Italy – Francesco Supriano, Rocco Greco, Gaetano Francone, Giulio de Ruvo, and Alessandro Scarlatti. Then, Boston-Based vocal ensemble ‘The Pandora Consort’ will perform selections from their recently premiered folk opera, “The Fire within Her”, as well as enthralling medieval works by polymath Hildegard von Bingen. Community-powered mural workshop with Artist and Curator Gal Cohen open to kids, adults, elderly everyone! In this collaborative project, artists of all ages are invited to step in and help paint a large scale mural inspired by the stories, colors and everyday life of the Heights. This workshop celebrates creativity, collaboration, and the power of community led art. No experience needed—just curiosity, imagination, and a love for the Heights and Inwood.
