Inwood Hill Park: Manahatta Walk 2026

Sanakori (Taino Fun House, Shorakapok Earth Keepers, Mobile Indigenous Library, CyberBehike Podcast) will lead our Shorakapok Walk. This event will be conducted in English.

We are proud to announce that this year’s guest of honor will be Lenni Lenapexkweyok, a women’s collective from five federally recognized Lenape nations: the Delaware Tribe of Oklahoma, the Delaware Nation of Oklahoma, the Delaware Nation at Moraviantown, the Munsee-Delaware Nation, and the Stockbridge-Munsee Band of Mohicans. They coordinate homecoming trips for Lenapes residing in Oklahoma, Wisconsin, and Ontario as a way of intergenerational healing. On June 20th of this year, members of the collective attended the NYC screening of The Birth of Lenni Lenapexkyweyok: A Collaboration Between Catalyst and Lenape Matriarchs, a documentary film about their 2022 return to the ancestral homeland.

$15 suggested donation helps makes our events possible and helps support the budding community land trust (CLT) movement in Northern Manhattan.
