About the Sinfonietta

The Orchestrating Dreams Sinfonietta is a community chamber orchestra that combines Orchestrating Dreams’ top students with college students majoring in music and professional musicians . Established in 2023, the Sinfonietta offers a unique mentorship opportunity for advanced music students and early professionals who have been historically underrepresented in the professional field of classical music. As a community chamber orchestra, the mission of the Sinfonietta is to cultivate a music community that provides a pathway from “student” to “professional” in a profession that has so many invisible barriers for black and brown young people. Led by Music Director Andrea Profili and Guest Concertmaster Eric Wyrick (Concertmaster of New Jersey Symphony Orchestra). The Orchestrating Dreams Sinfonietta is supported by the National Endowment for the Arts.
