Family Photo Day

Portraiture is the cornerstone of David Antonio Cruz’s paintings. In 2019, he created a new ongoing series called Chosen Families. The artist began with a prompt: Who do you consider a part of your family regardless of biological ties? This inspired a series of paintings including some displayed in the exhibition, When the Children Come Home.

Families will join the artist as well as photographer Marcus Branch to stage their own portraits in a setting that incorporates Cruz’s work and aesthetic.
