Hosted by Eric Vetter, No Name is a “workout show,” wherein talented performers are encouraged to play and try out new comedic or storytelling material. The audience is invited to hang out afterward to share feedback, shoot the breeze, and get on the mic themselves. Every third Tuesday of the month.

No Name Super Storytellers Party is hosted every first Tuesday of the month. 

Admission is FREE, donations welcomed. Masks are required.

Word Up Community Bookshop/Libreria Communitaria is located at 2113 Amsterdam Avenue (corner of 165th Street) in Manhattan. Subways: A, C or #1 train to 168th Street (walk south to 165th St, turn left, then walk east to Amsterdam Avenue).

United Palace: Comedy with Morir Soñando (6:30 & 9pm Shows)

Glorelys Mora and Sasha Merci of Morir Soñando return to the United Palace for another uproarious night of stand-up comedy in the Grand Foyer with two shows, at 6:30pm and 9pm. Have a drink or two with the funny primos/primas in our community as we laugh, heal, and cry together!

About Glorelys Mora – @GLORELYSMORA

Glorelys “The Legend” Mora is a Dominican-American stand-up comedian, writer, and actress hailing from Washington Heights. Known for her hilarious observations, honest storytelling, and relatable “homegirl” humor (as well as inadvertently launching her career by telling her advertising boss to “suck it” in 2018), she has quickly become a rising star in the comedy scene. Recently, she made the big move from the Big Apple to the Golden state and is now one of the co-hosts of the Girl Let Me Tell You Podcast on Mitú (a John Leguizamo company). Notably, she has opened for comedians such as Aida Rodriguez, Erik Rivera, Yvonne Orji, Ralph Barbosa, and more.

Second-generation Dominican American comedian, actress, and digital creator Sasha Merci is a Bronx native now based in Los Angeles. Sasha can be seen starring in the feature film De Lo Mio (HBO), her very own series Like, Subscribe Demilo (FUSE), and in the popular web-series Group Therapy (COMPLEX). Sasha has amassed a social media following of over 180k and has collaborated with brands like Bumble, AT&T, Heineken, Old Spice and many more. Last year Sasha was selected as one of Freeform TV’s #YoungBlackAndFreeform inaugural honoree’s which celebrates diverse content creators and thought leaders, and this year you can catch her starring in the feature film SHELTER opposite Lisa Vidal and Cam Gigandet.

No Name Comedy/Variety Show producer Eric Vetter brings New York’s best established and emerging authors and storytellers to Word Up Community Bookshop in Washington Heights for their monthly series “No Name At Word Up Super Storyteller Party”.

Super Story Party is curated and co-hosted by author/storyteller Michele Carlo, the author of FISH OUT OF AGUA: My life on neither side of the (subway) tracks (Citadel Press).

The show will also include a “Magic Hat Open-Mic” where audience members can signup for a chance at four minutes of stage time to share their own stories.
