Pre-Uptown Arts Stroll concert! Multifaceted American jazz pianist & composer Emmet Cohen with multi-Grammy nominee & saxophonist Miguel Zenón at Harlem School of the Arts.

Tuesday, May 9, 2023 7:30pm – 9:30pm

You can donate any amount. Tickets will be listed as “free” with a separate donation field. We suggest a minimum of $10 per ticket. All funds directly benefit Harlem School of the Arts Summer Camp for children. Please give as generously as you can.

NoName @ WordUp: Super Story Party

Each No Name show @ the wonderful Word Up bookshop features a mix of some of NYCs best comics, storytellers, and more.

We have returned to our live, in person shows with some Super Story Party editions! This means some of New York’s best storytellers doing their thing uptown! Plus, you can drop your name in the hat, and if your name is drawn, you’ll receive 5 minutes of stage time. There will be trivia, stories, and even a dance break!

Binary Dreamscape – Who Are We Now? / Paisaje De Ensueño Binario: Quienes Somos Ahora?

The Surrealist Art of Ruthy Valdez with bilingual poetry on the theme by Elddry Castillo. The artist states: “Beyond its aesthetic appeal, this exhibit carries a moral implication. Let us not lose sight of the importance of the natural world amidst our rapidly evolving digital landscape.”

Cornerstone Chorale Spring Concert

The Chorale will perform choral works of Randall Thompson, Williametta Spencer, and J.S. Bach’s Cantata nr. 115 “Mache dich, mein Geist, bereit” ( for chorus, soloists and orchestra).  Music Director Richard Stout will conduct.

Our Spring Concert is made possible in part with funding from the Upper Manhattan Empowerment Zone Development Corporation and administered by LMCC, and also with support from the Medical Center Neighborhood Fund.
