181 Cabrini – Happy Hour Jazz: Louise Rogers & Noah Myers

Jazz WaHi and 181 Cabrini continue their Saturday Happy Hour Jazz series with Jazz WaHi’s own Louise Rogers, singing with one of our favorite guitarists, Noah Myers.
It promises to be a swinging two hours!
These Happy Hour events are a great hang, and a great way to kick off your Saturday night!
No cover – good food, good bar, good people, good music. In the Heights!

FORT TRYON: COLORING BOOK WALK, TALK, & DRAW WITH LESLIE DAY AND TRUDY SMOKE

Join the Fort Tryon Park Trust and NYC Parks for the launch of the free Birds and Trees Coloring Book, developed by author Leslie Day and artist Trudy Smoke. Enjoy a tour of the trees illustrated in the book, learn about the research and artistic processes, and try your hand at nature drawing surrounded by the beauty of the Heather Garden. All participants will receive a free copy of the coloring book. All ages welcome!

The Jazz WaHi Vocal Series: Emilie Samson

Curated by Louise Rogers, the Jazz WaHi Vocal Series presents jazz vocalists on the first Monday of every month.

Please join us for Emilie Samson – “a new personality on the jazz vocal spectrum…Samson’s charisma is spellbinding.” Emilie will be joined by guitarist James Zito and bassist Owen Storey.

Doors open at 7 pm. One set only at 7:30. Vocal Jazz Jam to follow. Singers must attend the Featured Vocal Set to sing at the Jazz Jam.

Fort Tryon Park: Birding for All with the Feminist Bird Club

Join the Feminist Bird Club of NYC for a beginner-friendly birding walk and workshop in Fort Tryon Park. A limited number of binoculars will be available to borrow. Wear comfortable shoes and bring a full water bottle! Walk will meet at the Margaret Corbin Circle entrance to Fort Tryon Park. Access notes: the park has paved paths and steep slopes.
