Ring Garden: Musical Story Hour

Inwood NYPL Partners with Bacchanalia for Musical Story Hour in the RING Garden

Family Story Hour in the Garden is an outdoor program for children ages 3–6 and their caregivers. Stories are shared with music, clapping, finger puppets, and more and aim to foster early literacy, reading, and language skills in young children.

Participants are encouraged to bring blankets or small chairs. Outdoor events are subject to cancellation due to inclement weather or poor air quality.

J. Hood: Circ of Humankind

The Circ of Humankind is the traveling social circus that spreads kindness to the world! Through the convergence of performance art and storytelling, our goal is to empower and uplift communities through the power of play. We’ll teach you all about juggling, poi, hula hooping, and other flow arts for free! Or simply stop by to chat, hang out, laugh, and blow bubbles with us. =) The Circ of Humankind values community, inclusion, and has a mission toward Unity.

Highbridge Park: Urban Wildlife Festival

We welcome guests of all ages to join us at the 13th Annual Wildlife Appreciation Festival hosted by the Urban Park Rangers and the Fort Tryon Park Trust. Get to know your wild neighbors, including squirrels, turtles, raccoons, opossum, and coyotes while participating in activities to build your awareness and understanding of the natural world!

The festival is an opportunity to get up close and personal with NYC’s wild residents! Find out the best places in New York City and New York State to watch wildlife.

There will be fun activities including live animals presented by Wildlife In Need of Rescue and Rehabilitation (WINORR), games, and music by Hopalong Andrew!

This event is RAIN OR SHINE! Please check the weather and bring rain gear if necessary. The animals don’t mind a little rain!
