Uptown Fall Fest: Día de Ofrendas (NEW LOCATION)

Get ready for an afternoon full of joy, sabor, and community spirit, all while supporting scholarships for our students at The Academy for Theatre, Leadership, & Advocacy.

Inwood Hill Park: 30th Annual Autumn Starfest

Join us for the 30th Annual Autumn Starfest, hosted by the Amateur Astronomers Association (AAA), on Saturday, November 1, 2025, from 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM at Pat’s Lawn at Inwood Hill Park!
This free, family-friendly event invites New Yorkers of all ages to celebrate three decades of urban stargazing. Enjoy telescope views of star clusters, double stars, and Saturn; hear expert talks on astronomy, and engage in interactive activities designed for all skill levels.
The first 150 attendees will receive free gift bags! Autumn Starfest is a NYC tradition you won’t want to miss. Come and be part of this stellar celebration of astronomy in the heart of the city!
Location details: Pat’s Lawn at Inwood Hill Park (enter at W 218 Street and Indian Road)
Train: 1 train to 215th Street
Bus: Bx7, Bx20 to W 218th St. and Broadway;
Free and open to the public! All ages welcome. Weather permitting – canceled if raining.

YM & YWHA of Washington Heights & Inwood: Uptown Arts & Culture Pop-Up Series – Art in Motion!

Art & Jazz afternoon for everyone!  Doors at 1:45 PM

2:00 PM – 4:00 PM  The Cardboard Studio with artist Tom Pnini

The Cardboard Studio Join us for a day of creativity and hands-on fun as families come together to build and play with a the cardboard car ramp! Using imaginative designs and lots and lots of cardboard, we’ll transform simple materials into an exciting masterpiece. Each family will get to design and construct their own unique cardboard car and put it to the test on our ramp.

4:00 PM – 5:00 PM  Yaala Ballin Jazz Band — Music & Storytelling!

Yaala Ballin and her band will present some of their favorite gems of the Great American Songbook. Songs that were written in the last century but are still relevant today. Jazz music for the people that tells stories of love, friendship and life.

Snacks from Tsion Cafe : We’re a place with Pan-African love, Black Israeli pride and a passion for delicious vegan food where we harmonize flavors from Ethiopia, Israel, and the ever diverse New York.

Fort Tryon Park: Halloween Haunted Cottage

Trick or treat at the historic Fort Tryon Park Cottage and discover a Halloween celebration like no other!

Families and neighbors are invited to explore the haunted grounds of this landmark building, where spooky decorations and festive photo spots will bring the holiday to life. Take pictures and enjoy the fun of seeing the cottage transformed into a haunted house for one night only.

The Haunted Cottage will take place at 741 Fort Washington Avenue, on the corner of Margaret Corbin Circle.
