Dyckman Dynamics is a free concert series hosted on Thursday evenings at the Dyckman Farmhouse Museum. Join the Tee-Tones on July 27th at the Dyckman Farmhouse Museum!
The Tee-Tones are a Vocal Tribute Act that traces the roots of Group Harmony back to the passionate vocal performances of Doowop and Rhythm-n-Blues – from the street corner groups and hit artists of the 1950’s through the great Motown Singing Groups and Soul Acts of the 1960’s and ’70’s. A show that is both entertaining (causing uncontrollable singing and dancing) and enjoyed by folks of ALL ages with of course great music to match.
Dinámicas Dyckman es una serie de conciertos gratuitos que se presentarán los jueves por la noche en el Museo Dyckman Farmhouse. ¡Unete a los Tee-Tones el 27 de julio en el Museo Dyckman Farmhouse!
Los Tee-Tones son un Acto de Tributo Vocal que rastrea las raíces de el Grupo Harmony hasta las apasionadas interpretaciones vocales de Doowop y Rythm-n-Blues – desde los grupos callejeros y los artistas de éxito de la década de 1950 hasta los grandes Motown Singing Groups y Soul de los años 60 y 70. Un espectáculo que entretenido (causa cantos y bailes incontrolables) y disfrutado por personas de TODAS las edades con, por supuesto, excelente música de acompañamiento.
Professional Jazz musicians play outdoors in the Quisqueya Plaza. Free to the public. Optional dining or drinks available at the many fine outdoor restaurants on the Quisqueya Plaza. If rain, the musicians will be playing at Dyckman Bar.

Teen Craftivism Workshop

Express yourself at the Dyckman Farmhouse! Learn about how activists have used arts and crafts to further their work, and make some activist crafts yourself. Crafts, such as embroidery, have historically been outlets of self-expression for people to record their stories and opinions (as seen in our current exhibition at the Dyckman Farmhouse Museum!).
Join us to learn how to craft a message with your hands. Embroider iron-on patches to carry your message on your sleeve, and create and write your own zines to spread the word.

Algunos ejemplos, como el bordado, han sido históricamente medios de autoexpresión para que las personas registren sus historias y opiniones (¡como se ve en nuestra exposición actual en el Museo Dyckman Farmhouse!).
Únete para aprender cómo elaborar un mensaje con tus manos. Borda parches termoadhesivos para llevar tu mensaje en la manga y crea y escribe tus propios fanzines para correr la voz.
