The Grand Foyer of the United Palace will be become an ancestral altar on Wednesday, November 1, 2023.

As humans, we are each deeply connected to the people that came before us, our ancestors.  Whether you have met them during your lifetime or not, your connections to them run deep not only genetically & geographically, but also spiritually.  Join us as we intentionally connect with the ancestors, honoring them, celebrating them & sending them messages of gratitude & love.

We invite you to bring any photos that you may like to contribute to the ancestral altar of your loved ones who have passed on &/or any food offerings that you would like to leave on the altar.  You will also be invited to write out a message to your ancestors, both known & unknown, to acknowledge their presence, ask for guidance or to tell them anything at all that is on your mind or in your heart.

Offerings to the Ancestors is the second public event offered by The Muse, the United Palace of Spiritual Arts’ a monthly program celebrating inspiration, the arts & community, challenging participants to reimagine what’s possible in art & in life.

The event will culminate with a group meditation & other creative offerings to infuse the evening with more meaning & purpose.

The event is free with registration.  The event schedule is as follows:

6:00-7:00pm guests may arrive at any time & contribute items to the communal ancestral altar including:

  • Photos*
  • Food offerings
  • A hand-written note (paper & pens will be provided)

*Please note that you may take your photos home with you at the end of the evening.

This event will also be live-streamed.  For any guests who would prefer to watch from home & would like to contribute a photo to the altar, please email them to renee@unitedpalace.org by Friday, October 27.
