Grab a blanket and come enjoy a movie in a neighborhood park or playground! This summer, NYC Parks and The Mayor’s Office of Media and Entertainment will host family-friendly movie showings across the five boroughs.

Adaptation of the hit musical about New York bohemians. Anthony Rapp, Adam Pascal, Rosario Dawson, Jesse L. Martin.

The following movie has been rated PG-13. Some material may not be suitable for children. The film should be investigated further by parents before they let their younger children attend.

Movies begin at dusk. This event is FREE and open to the public. Glass bottles and alcoholic beverages are strictly prohibited. In the event of heavy rain or extreme weather, the screening may be canceled. The decision to cancel the event will be made prior to the screening and will be promptly posted on our website.

Join us for an outdoor screening of Coogan’s Bluff, the 1968 crime thriller starring Clint Eastwood—filmed right here in Fort Tryon Park! See the park as it appeared over 50 years ago, with scenes showcasing its dramatic rock formations, iconic arches, and sweeping Hudson River views.

Bring a blanket or chair and enjoy this classic film surrounded by the very landscape that helped set the scene.

This event is free and open to the public.

Morris-Jumel Mansion Presents: FREE Movies in the Park “McFarland, USA”

The Morris-Jumel Mansion invites you to Roger Morris Park to enjoy a free family movie night. Bring a blanket, beach chairs, snacks, and drinks and enjoy this summer night tradition. Movie will start when the sun has gone down (approx. 8 PM). No tickets or registration required.

Track coach Jim White (Kevin Costner) is a newcomer to a predominantly Latino high-school in California’s Central Valley. Coach White and his new students find that they have much to learn about one another, but things begin to change when White realizes the boys’ exceptional running ability. More than just physical prowess drives the teens to succeed; their strong family ties, incredible work ethic and commitment to their team all play a factor in forging these novice runners into champions.

Inwood Art Works launches a Spiritual Cinema Series in 2025 with The Passion of the Christ. This film depicts the final hours in the life of Jesus of Nazareth on the day of his crucifixion in Jerusalem. Jim Caviezel and Monica Belluccio start in this acclaimed and controversial adaptation produced and directed by Mel Gibson based on sister Catherine Emmerich’s visions. The film is performed in the three prominent languages that were spoken at the time of Jesus: Latin, Greek and Hebrew with subtitles.

All proceeds benefit Good Shepherd School.
