UpTown Arts Stroll: Jazz Power Initiative

We’re Celebrating the 125th Birthday of the Duke with Duke Ellington songs produced by Northern Manhattan Arts Alliance (NoMAA) as part of the 2024 NoMAA Arts Stroll! Our very own Zah! Jr. with Dr. E, featuring Zaid Nasser, saxophone and Jennifer Vincent, bass.

It’s all happening on Monday, June 24th from 6:30-7:30 P.M. at the YM&YWHA of Washington Heights & Inwood!

Uptown Arts Stroll: Cornerstone Summer Open Studios

Please join the artists of Cornerstone Studios for a Summer Open Studios event on Saturday, June 8, 2024, from 11am to 5pm. See work by 16 artists, meet Katya Muromtseva, our 2024-25 Studio178 Artist-in-Residence, and enjoy a special exhibition of work by painter Jessica Alazraki in Gallery178.

Cornerstone’s address is 178 Bennett Ave, 2nd/3rd Floors, NYC 10040. Free and open to the public and part of NoMAA’s 2024 Uptown Arts Stroll.

Cornerstone Studios is an independent 501(c)(3) organization created in 2015 to provide affordable studio workspace for emerging and career visual artists in Washington Heights and Inwood, NYC.

UPTOWN ARTS STROLL: Movie in the Park, “Rio” at Morris Jumel

Starts at sunset.  Bring a picnic blanket and some snacks to Roger Morris Park and enjoy a free screening of Rio (2011).

About the film: “When Blu, a domesticated macaw from small-town Minnesota, meets the fiercely independent Jewel, he takes off on an adventure to Rio de Janeiro with the bird of his dreams.” Rated G.
